As a Senior Process Improvement Engineer your role involves being responsible for industrialization projects and or programs at companies in the automotive and high-tech industry. You collaborate with the customer in finding the best solution and advise them on how to implement the solution in a pragmatic way.
Role and responsibilities
As a Senior Process improvement engineer, you are autonomously engaged in setting up, improving, and optimizing production and business processes. In certain cases, you will be involved from the earliest development phases, ensuring that improvements are measurable and directly aligned with our customers’ strategic objectives.
You will act as a trusted sparring partner for our customers in the areas of audit & improve, industrialization and manufacturing intelligence. When implementing process improvements, you will consider preconditions such as safety, quality, delivery reliability, and costs efficiency. You will develop a clear vision and strategy, ensuring that the solutions found are effectively embedded within the customer’s organisation. Business Process (re)Design and Operational Excellence are key themes.
You consistently focus on improving and optimising production environments and business processes, applying a project-oriented approach. This includes responsibility for project planning, risk assessment, and the successful realization of project deliverables. Your efforts will contribute to achieving optimal production output, with a strong focus on yield improvement, quality assurance, and cost reduction.
Using the Lean/Six Sigma methodologies, you will lead improvement projects for customers (often of a larger scale). With a solid foundation in statistics, you will provide data-driven insights and recommendations, enabling customers to make well-informed decisions and achieve sustainable operational excellence.
What do we expect from you?
- You have a (technical) bachelor’s or master’s degree.
- You combine academic work and thinking with minimum of 5 years of experience in improvement and change management.
- You are (Master) Blackbelt certified and have acquired considerable experience with complex implementation processes, including (on the job) training and motivating people.
- You have experience in coaching and training people in Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
- You have experience in providing advice on complex matters.
- Your background includes project management experience in which you can take on a coaching role.
- Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
- You are quality-conscious and enjoy contributing to improvement processes, both internally and with customers.
