The 5-year anniversary of Nobleo manufacturing is appropriately celebrated with a fantastic 3-day trip to the sunny Valencia.
All employees, even the one starting on 1 June, were up early on Friday 25th of May to be present for the Transavia flight with ETD 07.30 hours.
In Valencia we arrived under professional guidance to our accommodation to park the suitcases. First, we enjoy an extensive lunch, the most important meal of the day. Then on the bike, with a very enthusiastic guide, through this attractive city. After some beautiful market places, churches, museums, mystical religious cups, rustic squares and grumbling city inhabitants, we arrive at a glass pavilion on a pier by the sea. Delicious mussels or anything else to eat with white, blue and red wine. Satisfied and properly fed we go back to return the bikes. Back to the hotel to regenerate. A bit of free time to enjoy and it’s off to the terrace. Delicious cool drinks in a place with a somewhat nervous waitress, a fresh wind and moaning musicians who happily quit for a euro. Meanwhile, you notice the climate difference. It remains pleasantly warm for a little bit longer.
On to an Italian restaurant where all the super tasty dishes were simply put on the table to eat without having to order anything. The food was washed away with delicious drinks on a surprisingly balmy evening. We sang for the birthday boy and looked around for a salsa bar because of his penchant for ballroom dancing. Then you notice that age does not matter. Whether you’re the youngest of 27 or the oldest of 60, personality and thirst are decisive. Clubbing until 04.00 am or quietly walking to the hotel for a well-deserved night’s sleep. The morning program looks different for everyone. Sleeping in or an early breakfast and a visit to the famous market place and other places of interest. Once everyone was awake, we hop in the bus towards the water for a boat trip. Fortunately, it was an inner lake, so we weren’t much bothered by waves. While enjoying the beautiful weather we started chatting and gossiping amongst ourselves, tightening bonds and breaking barriers.
Hungry after sailing, but fortunately there was a lunch ready with original Paella that apparently originated in Valencia. Fish or meat, there was something for everyone under the protective parasol. We were fit to bursting, which made this the perfect time for the group photo. At least everyone was standing still. In the bus we return to Valencia. some went to the beach to sink their toes in the Spanish sand, some visited the city and some got some sleep. At the beach towards the boulevard we were refused at a trendy beach club because our lily-white Nobleo polo shirts were too similar to those of the waitresses. We do not operate on Jubilee trip, so we went to the next club to sit back and relax. Some drinks, some chat, some looking at passers-by but especially some relaxing. We refreshed ourselves in the hotel and walked to dinner of an original kitchen. In the outdoors all the different tastes come into their own in fine company. The enthusiasm to join the 2nd evening was even bigger. Unfortunately, these experiences cannot be shared due to the new privacy law. We can only indicate that the most enthusiastic clubbers have returned at 6.00 am.
The morning was free, but most of us were still sleeping. So together we went out for lunch with freshly squeezed orange juice and local delicacy. Again, we felt quite stuffed so we left for the airport for the return flight. Despite a one and a half hours waiting time because of strikes in France and a broken air conditioner, this very nice anniversary trip did not disappoint. Nice people those colleagues of Nobleo manufacturing.
