Data Scientist

We believe that there are always opportunities to produce faster, better, and cheaper. It is important to gain insight into the current situation and what is needed to achieve a more efficient and effective production process. As a Data Scientist you have a significant role in this. You know how to collect the sometimes difficult-to-access or inaccurate data and how to effectively convert this data into useful information. You have the analytical ability to identify trends, provide insight into critical performance indicators (KPIs) and present complex data in an understandable way. To do this, you use various tools to build dashboards, edit data, or simulate processes.

By using models and identifying correlations, you can make it clear to the customer which steps they need to take to make their production process more efficient and effective. Are you the Data Scientist who enjoys developing, validating, applying or improving models and algorithms in a real-life production environment with a young and ambitious team? Then we are looking for you!

Role and responsibilities

As a Data Scientist in an industrialization environment, you are responsible for identifying correlations in order to then translate data into business applications. You extract as much value as possible from the available information and know how to describe and visualize the insights discovered for the customer. To achieve these insights, you structure data, connect different data sources, and initiate improvement processes to complete the data.

Together with your project team, you successfully complete a production process improvement project. As a Data Scientist, you ensure that the solution to the customer’s problem is based on actual data from the production process. By analysing data, you help your team with fresh, useful insights. You define KPIs in collaboration with the customer and your team and ensure that they can be both measured and visualised in a clear dashboard.

What do we expect from you?

  • You have a (technical) master’s degree (preferably in data science).
  • Programming knowledge and mastery of tools such as Python and/or Power BI are a plus.
  • Strong affinity for programming tools and simulating processes.
  • Analytically strong, communicative, structured and precise.
  • A customer- and result-oriented attitude.
