From start to impact: Ben Wouters at Nobleo Manufacturing
In February 2025, Ben Wouters started as an engineer at Nobleo Manufacturing. Since then, he has become a valuable member of the team, contributing to projects involving both development and industrialisation.
Projects at Nobleo Manufacturing
In this short time, he has gained experience in various projects involving a wide range of technical challenges. For instance, he has been involved in Design House+ projects in collaboration with Nobleo Technology, contributed to a manufacturing intelligence project with Van Wijnen and worked on internal developments within Nobleo Manufacturing itself.
This broad involvement requires flexibility, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various disciplines. Getting to the heart of a problem and implementing improvements are important aspects of his role in both the NPI phase and more mature production environments.
The Manufacturing Intelligence project at Van Wijnen is one of the projects Ben particularly enjoys working on. As part of the project, he has analysed simulation results in order to support operational activities. “The link between the digital world and day-to-day real-world operations is fascinating,” he says. “Especially when ideas and concepts lead to a significant improvement in performance.”
He also notes that working with different clients has become his second nature: “Switching between different clients took some time getting used to at first, but it feels natural now. It brings a lot of variety to the work and provides various insights.”
Working at Nobleo Manufacturing
For Ben, what makes working at Nobleo special is working with his colleagues and the team’s ‘can-do’ attitude.
“Collaboration is essential in projects because you often work with different disciplines and teams. This means you’re constantly learning from one another and working together to find the best solution. In one project, you might learn more about mechanical designs, while in another, you might explore simulation possibilities in more depth.”

However, working at Nobleo Manufacturing isn’t just about the work. “The culture is largely shaped by the people who work there. Everyone makes time for one another, and there are plenty of social and sporting activities outside of work, too. This strong bond makes working here even more enjoyable,” says Ben.
Future as an engineer at Nobleo Manufacturing
Having completed his first year, Ben is looking forward to taking on new projects and roles. “I hope to work on projects across Nobleo’s various markets. In a few years’ time, I hope to have made a real difference to a range of clients by delivering significant production improvements.”
