Industrialisation & Design House+

With our Industrialisation & Design House+ program, we help OEMs and suppliers navigate challenges and bring products to series production with confidence. Here are some of the things that we do:

  • Early supplier involvement. This ensures that suppliers are engaged from the very start, helping to avoid late design changes, reduce risks, and create reliable industrialisation processes.
  • We focus on guiding our customers towards a smooth and controlled Start of Production (SoP) and Start of Serial Volume (SoSV).
  • We apply our line-back thinking method. By doing this we design production systems where logistics and flow are central.
  • To support decision-making early in the process, we use our production process planning methods. This way, our customers can anticipate challenges, optimise resources and accelerate their ramp-up.

Manufacturing Excellence

With our Manufacturing Excellence program, we help automotive companies strengthen their production systems and achieve sustainable performance improvements. Here are some examples of what we do:

  • At the heart of our approach is the Toyota Kata methodology. With this approach, improvements are not one-off fixes, but embedded routines that keep operations stable and future-ready.
  • We also apply modular production methods, a proven concept from automotive that makes it possible to combine efficiency with flexibility. This approach enables companies to manage product variants effectively, balance volumes across lines and transfer best practices to other discrete industries.

Manufacturing Intelligence

Automotive production generates enormous amounts of data. The challenge is not collecting it, but turning it into insights that truly improve performance. With our Manufacturing Intelligence program, we help OEMs and suppliers unlock the hidden potential of their production systems. Here are some of the things that we do:

  • Our toolkit combines intelligent algorithms for sequencing and line balancing with methods to identify bottlenecks early and optimise flows. These solutions fit seamlessly into existing ERP and MES architectures, adding a powerful layer of decision support without disrupting core systems.
  • We use simulation to simulate entire factories and testing scenarios digitally. By doing this we give our customers the ability to anticipate challenges before they occur, whether it’s a shift in demand, a new product introduction, or a supply chain disruption.

What is your experience in the automotive industry?
We have worked for OEMs such as VDL Nedcar, DAF, Volvo and suppliers such as Inalfa. Our expertise lies in production and logistics optimisation, industrialisation planning and smart factory simulations.
What does your “line-back thinking” entail?
Line-back means: we start from the line. We design workplaces and production processes in such a way that they fit seamlessly into the logistics chain. This helps to control variant complexity and optimise output.
Can you help with the start-up of a new production line?
Yes, we guide the entire process from pre-SOP to Start of Serial Volume. This includes resource planning, line balancing, sequencing and performance monitoring.
Are your solutions applicable outside the automotive industry?
Certainly. We also apply many of our methods (such as KATA, modular production and line design) in high-tech and industrial housing construction, always tailored to the context.
